Every rick we sell started as a tree somewhere in Boone County. We are a working tree service first: when we take down a storm-damaged oak in Southridge or clear a building site out toward Bearfield, that hardwood gets bucked, split, stacked and seasoned rather than landfilled. That is why our firewood is local oak and hickory instead of whatever a broker trucked in.
